Eh, having cosmetics isnt really a plus. and becides, you can earn weapons through random drops each week. your not really missing much.

You dont have to buy them. you get them in random drops each week, after playing for a while your max drops per week can get to over 12

Drops reset every Thursday at 12PM. Its random on when the items actually drop
