Finally feel ready to reveal a little bit more of what I've been working on. I initially did not want to share this map until I was a bit further into the project but this has now become a sort of 'beta' map which I'm using as a jumping off point for something a bit more finished, so thought this would serve as a nice preview of sorts. I have never worked on anything like this before, it took a really long time and a lot of fun and frustration to complete, but I am so happy with how it turned out and it was a fantastic experience to push me out of my comfort zone. My plan is to recreate this map using FireRed and LeafGreen style sprite graphics which will hopefully give me a more defined and finished map, which I then may recreate in this Sword and Shield map style as I think it looks really good. In all honesty, this map as it is would serve my purpose to essentially create a guide to the Region, the Fakemon and the story. The reason I want to recreate it is because I feel it can be so much more and so much better and I am very passionate and driven when it comes to my Miravel region (more on that in a bit). Plus, maybe just maybe if I create all of these sprites, the map, characters, Fakemon, and have the story completely ready to go, maybe some kind soul will help me turn it into a real playable experience. Because that's the dream isn't it? I don't know about other Fakemon creators, but I've always wanted to see my Fakemon in a real game and if that means doing it myself then that's what I'll try to do.
Here is a look at one of the sprites I have created so far - - any feedback and comments would be appreciated!

As the title shows, this is my Miravel Region. I have been working on this Fakemon Region for a long time. It started off with hand-drawings and sketches, then as I first moved to digital art the Fakemon were very scratchy and sketchy and rough. I then began to learn how to use Paint.net and created more polished versions and finally completed the full Pokedex for the Region, all of which have been uploaded to DeviantArt and are currently in storage. I plan to bring them all back out of storage now as I begin my 'remake', which will see me recreate most of the designs (some will be replaced altogether) in Photoshop to a more Sugimori-style (hopefully). Previously Miravel had a lot of Mega Evolution Fakemon but these will be replaced with the Region's own unique gimmick, called Revered Pokemon. Originally the Fakemon Games were called 'DreamFall' and 'RealityCrash', this updated version will take inspiration from what would have been the 3rd version (Emerald, Platinum) and will be titled 'ReverieRise'. I plan on doing Nintendo Switch box art for this as well.

Now, to jump back to why I'm so passionate and driven about this and ultimately why I'm abandoning my other recent Fakemon project (the Bravart Region) to do this. It's simply because I cannot escape from Miravel. The story and the characters are so alive and running wild in my head that I feel like I cannot do another project justice while this dream project feels incomplete. Ever since I finished my initial upload of this Pokedex several years ago, I didn't feel like 'finally it's finished, well done me', I felt like I could do more and do better. Yes I completed all of the Fakemon to a reasonably good standard and I am immensely proud of that, but there were stories and characters there that were never properly shared. And there are lots of stories in the Miravel Region. Like other Regions, it has 8 Gyms and an Elite Four and Champions to be challenged, but it also has Frontier Facilities and over 20 Legendary Fakemon just waiting to be discovered, which is why I call it the 'Land of Legends'. I feel like this has been gnawing away in my head forever, I think about it every other day even when I thought I was finished with it, because I now understand that I wasn't finished with it. So please come with me on this long and hopefully fun journey, I cannot wait to share more of this with you all.
