more paint and character practice over a pose i createdits little more fuzzy than i remember... was trying to use a custom brush... not entirely happy with the fuzzy result but i didnt spend heaps of time on this.
just grey scale and then i did a color balance at the end.

hey man, yeah i'm using photoshop at home and im using a wacom cintiq 12wx. the cintiq is great, albiet probably a little over the top for someone like me who isnt technically in the concept industry but hey...

short answer is anywhere i could. basically ive been self taught for the most part although ive had helpful advice along the way. best thing i can suggest is to gather up as many images that you find interesting or inspiring and then try to re-create them for a starter anyway. apart from that its just practice practice practice.
