We've been having a rather rough start to this year... Out of all the deaths so far I've got to say Alan Rickman has gotten me the most. I didn't watch many of the movies he was in but I did grow up watching Harry Potter and hearing about Rickman's death is really sad... I just had to make a quick tribute piece.I've been working on improving my portraits and wanted to try my hand out on a celebrity.
I used Graphics Gale to make this piece. Probably around 2.5 Hours

His passing hit me pretty hard as well... I grew up reading and watching Harry Potter and Professor Snape was always one of my favorite characters of the whole series and I've always thought that Alan Rickman portrayed him perfectly! This is a lovely tribute.

Same here. I hated Snape initially but that changed when the truth was revealed. He then became my favorite. Alan Rickman always did such a fine job.

I think I disliked Snape when I was younger because he just seemed so unnecessarily mean. As I got older though I started to wonder why... Something had to happen to make him that bitter. So when we found out what that was I thought it added a ton of character to his... character XD
