In my AU the nightmare animatronics are as real as the children and the other animatronics believe they are. Basically the more people fear the animatronics, the more real they become and the more real they feel.

Yes. Nightmare Freddy convinced Fredbear(Golden Freddy) that all the terrible things that happened at the pizzeria were his fault. Fredbear ended up convincing himself that he was the monster and became Golden Freddy and when Fredbear's Family Diner was shut down, they used Fredbear's parts to make Freddy, meaning Golden Freddy can take control whenever Freddy is weak.
