Lol! This is the actual person. I live in Los Angeles and a lot of celebrities show up at the Barnes & Noble at the Grove to promote their books. Some celebrities aren't as generous as Jim Carrey. The other ones just sign the books and off you go. Jim Carrey actually took the time to also talk to all of his fans and allowed us to pose with him. He even stayed hours after he was scheduled to leave just so that every single person who waited for hours in line for him got to see him. It was completely unprecedented. If I loved him before, I love him even more now!

That's so nice to hear about him. And meeting all his fans before he leave. I too love his movies a lot. Some of his acts are so hilarious and whenever it comes to your mind your face will lit up and blast into laughs people around you think that you are nuts or something. I love the Ace Ventura series a lot, I think he is been well directed on those movies. Very talented and he needs to continue contributing. work with a more creative director to bring more out of him. Not only in the funny business but in other serious stuff as well. He has the capacity.

Thank you so much! I'm just lucky that he's one of the nicer celebrities who goes out of his way for his fans.

Each time I see this picture on your profile page, I'm very jealous! He's such a great actor, and I imagine that he's very kind too! And now that I read your comment below the picture, I wish I could find this book too!

Aww...Thank you and yes, he's very kind to his fans. At this book signing, he stayed several hours longer than he was booked for because he wanted to make sure every single person who had waited in line for hours to meet him actually got to meet him. He didn't rush either. He took the time to speak to each person, even if only for a minute or two, and allowed them to take pictures with him, which some other celebrity guests wouldn't even do.
As for the book, you can probably find it on Amazon or something. There's also a vid of him reading it (This was at the same book signing I went to) and Jim Carrey, being Jim Carrey, was over-the-top and playful while he did it.
Have you seen the commencement speech he did at a university? It's both funny and inspiring. I'll put the links below:

I watched the commencement speech!
(My understanding English is not too bad, but I also find the transcript of the speech on the site of the university, which has been useful! )
The part about his father is interesting for me. these days, I'm at a turning point in my life: I'm asking myself questions like "Should I really become an accountant ?!" (... and then I'm thinking about a Monty Python's sketch about an accountant who wants to become a lion tamer... )
The speech, and the huge painting, also reminds me that one should paint for oneself, maybe simply because it's soothing, or because it helps to find answers, to clear one's mind... (I want to paint and draw for years now, but never find the courage to begin... )
I found the site howrolandrolls.com ! There are more videos about the book!
The more I read about Jim Carrey, The more I think he's really a great man!
And now, things I have to do: Paint something regularly, become a lion tamer and watch a movie with Jim Carrey from times to times!

I'm glad that the videos of Jim Carrey have helped inspire you. Those all sound like good plans. Enjoy painting and be careful with that lion!
