Age: 19 (at death).

Gender: Male

Pokemon: Dragapult

Body Type: Skinny

Birthday: May 30th

Home Island: Mystery Isle (Poliwag Bog, K8)

Personality: [+]Nice [+]Open [+]Honest [=]Blunt [-]Pessimistic [-]Self-blaming [-]Rude

Sencha is a very kind person, always trying to make other people happy. However, he is firmly convinced that he is a walking bad-luck charm, and constantly worries about bad things happening to the people around him. If anything bad happens at all, he will become convinced that is was his fault. He is an open book, wearing his feelings on his sleeve. You will always know exactly how he feels about anything. Unfortunately, because he has no filter between his mind and his mouth, Sencha can be very rude at times. If he doesn't like you, he won't try to hide it. That being said, Sencha is a very honest person, and almost never lies. When he does, it's very obvious. Not too good at keeping secrets because of how open he is though, so don't tell him anything you want to keep secret.

As a result of living in Galar for most of his afterlife, Sencha has a slight Galarian accent.

History:

Dr. Earl Grey was a respected surgeon in the Galar region. When he retired, he decided to go on a vacation to Cianwood City in Johto, before returning to his hometown of Hulbury where he would live out his remaining years. While visiting Cianwood, a young man washed up on the beach. He was wearing old-fashioned clothes, and had no memory whatsoever. Dr. Grey ended up looking after the man, dubbed Sencha, and when the time came to return to Hulbury he took Sencha with him.

The villagers were curious about the strange Sencha. He didn't seem to know how various things worked, from the radio to pokeballs, and had a really unsettling habit of walking around town at night, or staring out to sea for hours on end. The villagers eventually assumed that Sencha was Dr. Grey's illegitimate son.

Sencha tried to get a job, but strange things kept happening in any place he worked. He tried his hand loading and unloading cargo on the docks, and a fire broke out that razed the pier to the ground. During his stint as assistant lighthouse keeper, freak storms would hit the coastal town. And when he worked as a server at the Captain's Table, multiple customers broke out into allergic reactions and food poisoning. The frillish was regarded as a bad luck charm by all the businesses in the area, and no one would hire him anymore. His father tried to convince Sencha that all the incidents were just bad luck that had nothing to do with him, but Sencha became obsessed with the idea that all of this was his fault.

A pariah in Hulbury, Sencha found himself traveling to Hammerlock in search of a job. A tea shop owner was willing to hire him, and the frillish spent the next few months working as a chef. There were no unfortunate accidents, he was around people who didn't turn the other way when they saw him, and Sencha realized that he really enjoyed his work.
Too bad it didn't last. Although he tried to hide it from his son, Dr. Grey's health was failing. Sencha wound up blaming himself for his adopted father's condition. Clearly the townsfolk were right, and the doctor's sudden illness was all because of him! Maybe if he left, his father would recover? But where could he go?
One day, he overheard a pair of sailors talking about the Raccolto Islands. That very night, Sencha gathered up all his things, and set off for Raccolto. The only thing he left behind was a note.

Ability: Cursed Body. If someone or something attacks Sencha, there is a chance they will become paralyzed for a few seconds.

Moveset:

Scald: A blast of extremely hot water that may cause burns. Very useful for tea making.

Will-o-Wisp: Sencha summons a few small flames that can burn if touched. Makes for a good night light.

Fly: He misses being able to lift things with psychic power but at least he can still float himself?.

Light Screen: Puts up a barrier that reduces the power of special moves.

Job: Business owner

Shop Name: Pot of Tea

Stock Type: A galarian-style tea house that sells black tea and assorted pastries. The building used to be a cafe before the owner moved away, so it was pretty much perfect for Sencha.

Dog/Cat Race: Yamper
Dog's Name: Lady
Dog's Gender: Female
Sencha first encountered the yamper outside the Captain's Table, begging for scraps. He took pity on her and gave her some food, and the dog followed him home. He eventually named her "Lady" after the lead character in a movie he saw.

Talents:

-Good listener

-Brews a mean tea

-Can float a little bit

-Very good cook.
Fun facts:

-Being dead and all, Sencha doesn't need to eat, breathe, or sleep. He can eat or drink if he wants to, but doesn't have to

-Because he technically doesn't have a stomach, liver, or nervous system, he can't get drunk

-Doesn't really sleep, but will zone out for extended periods of time

-He has a reflection, but doesn't show up in photographs

-If you try to touch him, Sencha will freak out. He is still convinced that he is a bad luck charm, and is terrified of cursing the people around him.

-Frillish is regarded as an omen of bad luck among sailors. As a result of living in a seaside community, Sencha has convinced himself that he is a living bad luck charm.
-[New] Sadly even a change of totem hasn't changed his ability or his fear of being touched.

-Every so often, Sencha's guilt overwhelms him and he goes into a depressive funk. This usually lasts a few days.

-Sometimes, he seems to react to people who aren't there. He will often ask people if they saw or heard something, and a lot of times the answer is "no".
-If something bad happens, he will assume it was his fault, even if there is no concievable way it could be.
-His self-preservation instincts are lacking. To be fair, he's already dead (which he will gladly point out to anyone who asks)

-Doesn't really keep in contact with anyone in Hulbury anymore, not even Dr. Grey. He's mostly worried that if he ever did try to contact his father, he'd find that Dr. Grey was already dead.
-[New] He has the urge to carry small pokemon on his back or his head.
