Tactical Landing Craft - L.C.A.C. - Refit

Although the real-world acronym L.C.A.C. stands for Landing Craft Air Cushion , we nevertheless kept the designation when we adapted the original design by Mike Brown in accordance with our own aesthetic sensibilities and concept of an orbit-to-surface Starfleet tactical landing craft. This design is conceived as little more than mating components from a Sovereign Class Captain's Gig and a Danube Class Runabout to what amounts to a double-wide runabout-inspired troop/cargo section ostensibly with LCU style egress ramps at both the bow and stern that function much like those aboard the DR-4 Viking Dropships from Starship Troopers (1997) .

We can only hope Starfleet personnel fared better upon touchdown than their Mobile Infantry brethren.
