My wife loves Crayon Shin-Chan so she put me up do doing a fanart of him. I hope people understand that this by no means represents the level of my artistic ability. Just a piece for fun. Enjoy.Related content

Hmm, I'm wondering if they hype up the vulgarity. Its a kids show in Japan and I know some things like Shin chan running around naked is in there but I'm not sure if they say slut. I need to get some episodes.

After watching the epsiode, I'm sure that they're elaborating on the translation. There were several bad words in there that were definitely not in the childrens show. I think they pumped it up for adult swim. Have you seen any of the subtitled epsiodes?

Yeah big time. I think they did an okay job with the voice actors themselves but lets just say they were REALLY liberal in the translation.

Oy, well at least you said it. If a white guy like me told a Taiwaneese guy/girl he or she was Chinese, I'd probably get slapped. My wife is from Thailand and people often tell me, "Your wife is from Taiwan right?". Drives me nuts. "Wrong Tai" I tell them.

Haha, yeah, my wife gets that too, but she's 1/4 chinese so people have no idea. Funny thing is, every time we go to japan, people speak to her in Japanese and speak to me in English but She dosen't speak japanese at all, I do. I think most westerners are horible at guessing which country an asian person is from. I'm fairly good at it becuase I've been to a few different asian countries.

I'm from America. I've been to Thailand twice and Japan twice. I laid over in Korea last time I went so technically i've been there but just to the airport. I actually haven't been around the US much, just the east coast from new york to florida and vegas. I highly recommend traveling, it will open your eyes to the world around you.

yeah, but it was harder than I thought. Theres not much to the character so it was pretty hard to draw your own version without copying anything. I tried to be as original as I could. Still it was a very quick image. Originally I had drawn a whole scene where his mother was yelling at him but Jira thought it would look better if it was just Shin-Chan.
