requested me to draw Daphne of Scooby Doo as a damsel in distress. Well, I hate drawing girls but going out of my comfort zone of drawing mostly males and mostly anime...I was intrigued. So I took a challenge. Surprisingly, I really like how she came out. XDShe's falling down a well or a dark cellar or something.
To Daphnebound, I hope you like her! I'm not sure what you had in mind but this is what I came up with...

The pose is nice and dynamic, and the background's texture + lighting brings her out really well! Awesome job

Haha, I not only hate I DESPISE drawing girls. The whole time my fingers were twitching because I wanted to draw angles and flat planes and sexy male hipbones and I couldn't. It made my heart sad.

Oh wow, thank you. I'll guess I'll just give a detail of the whole thing.
+ For the sketch I made a pose in Poser 6 and copied the pose as best as I could
+ The lineart I do over the original sketch with Sakura Micron Pens. Usually 0.20mm or 0.30mm
+ I scan in the sketch at 300dpi and work in Photoshop 7
+ Then I adjusted the brightness and levels until most of the pencil lines were gone
+ And for the coloring...I kinda just go with it. This one I had to wing it because the light source was so out of my norm. But mostly it's just a lot of layering and having fun with the Gaussian blur too.

In other words, I gotta go out and get some nice computer programs, as well as improve my drawing abilities.

Lol, all you need is a recent-ish version of Photoshop (I have both 7 and CS2 but I prefer 7 for some reason) and you don't need Poser. It just helps a lot.

I am GOING to have to get my hands on this Poser thing! Your perspective is AWESOME, and I LOVE that you once again traveled outside your comfort zone to do this.

It's honestly not that much money. It's $140 for the student version and it doesn't take up a lot of space on your hard drive. The posing aspect is amazing though. It's going to help us churn out some hot Caudi poses eventually XD
