What is that? A new impling subtype? o:

Those that show up en masse in the Season of Shadow (October-December) - abysshound implings are born form the large cumulation of shadow element gathered by elemental flowers during the Festival of the Shadows. Unlike other implings, which can only use their specific magic element, abysshounds can master a secondary non-shadow element and thus temporarily take the form of impling associated with it (e.g. if abysshound masters fire element it can temporarily take a form of draco impling). Abysshound implings' bodies, being made out of shadow energy in physical form can produce any type of shadow mutation without the infuence of shadow crystals.

Shadow implings have a secondary form (being one of the six basic impling subtypes) and auto-unlocked shadow mutations. They grow wooden vines instead of petals and tendrils. Their rarity is unknown, but they're easier to find around the months of October and November. They often disguise themselves as other implings to avoid attracting the attention of non-shadow Drakonians.
