I was given 3 amazingly designed outfits for Amaterasu to choose from, in the end I went with Blackbunii's design. I though her's was really elegant (honestly all of them were!) I really liked the blue look and since I felt like I haven't worked with many light airy blues... this was perfect for me.
Yes that is a blue tree, initially that was suppose to be saved for something original I had in mind but it just worked sooo well with this character I decided to give her the tree. In all honesty, this was the first time I pixelled a tree.. it's very spontaneous but it somehow ended up working much better than I expected.
GAHH now that I think about it, if I added some water puddles or a light ground reflection I think that would've been a much more visual treat~ welp too late now, kinda lazy to change it for the 3rd time LEL I'll just leave those ideas for next time I guess.
Personally, I think this is one of my best pixel artwork. As you can see, I really got into shading this~ It's really fun shading with shapes using pixels and since I was working with a bigger canvas, I could really get into the details~ Kinda had a mistake earlier.. so that's why there are some extra random white dots here and there.. (Turns out you can't have airbrushed BG's when it's going to be made into a .gif the airbrushed effect will end up turning opaque white kinda like setting your layer to binary, but instead of black it's white;; ).
I tried animating the flowy items in a different style that I usually see from other pixel animators here and there and thought it was a simple and time effective animation.
Overall, I think I can say I love doing pixel art where it's minimal in animation (simple animations) so I can focus more so on the actual artwork. I can do harder animations but that would definitely lead to me sticking to base colours or 1 shade. It's all about preference really but yeah personally I dont enjoy that as much as something like this.
Anyways just wanted to also Thank the people who came, supported and watched me put this piece together on stream<3 All your compliments and words were really appreciated ^^

Honestly I don't think there's thatt much to do in Canada compared to somewhere like California in the US or something... But if you're the type that likes to walk around and take pictures of beautiful scenery, nature etc, then Canada's definitely a beautiful place for you (especially during the fall~)

aww honestly looking back at it I can see I didn't completely get the outfit on point but I think the positioning of things and it just being pixels I got away with it LOLLL!! I thought your design would've been easier to read yet challenging but when I was working on the sketch LOLL I was easily lost with the ruffles. It wasn't until I got to the end that I noticed some things were off but by then it was a little too late :'D I'm sooo happy that you found this very accurate though Q ~ Q <3333333

hmmm Personally I never found it "hard" but for some people it could be. Example, people aren't used to working in tiny canvas's and drawing/lining in pixels. They're not sure how to make their pixel art look "unique" since the medium cannnn be limiting but that's only if you limit yourself too;;

This is ... absolutely incredible. I can definitely say the finish is the prettiest pixel piece I've seen to date, even discounting my association to the character and any accusation of biased lenses. DX
There's just so many aspects that's really technically impressive. Like how you contrasted enough cellshade to the gradient shading to nail the faithful-pixel look. Or the crystalline look to the silken ruffles of the dress or the soft sweep to her long hair and generally the overall impression of sunlight shards everywhere.
I adore the animation decision. It's serene to stare at and I like the neat touch how the hidden tassle veiled by her sleeve still catches attention. * A *

Ahh I can't believe you actually noticed that!! During that time I definitelyyy forgot that the sleeves would cover over it since the layer was hidden during that time. Nice to know you can still see it since it's also animated aswell and it would've defeated the purpose if it couldn't be seen x'D

Thankyou so much!!! Ahh I think you're the first who told me that ; v ;/ I'm always concious about it cuz I tend to get lost and write a lot and then it'd be really long and then it'd be like "would people really read this now ; v ; TL;DR situation.
It really surprised me and makes me happy to know people do actually read what I write sometimes :'D
I honestly thought it might've been a habit I picked up back in high school when I had artclasses. They usually make you do these kinda summary but since I'm not in school I'll just do it how I kinda want to do it x'D. I also think it's nice since I kinda talk about what worked and didn't at times so if anyone's reading they can pick these up and try it themselves or learn from my own mistakes.
Ahh Streams are something I can always do at another time and day! Don't worry about missing them just come whenever you can and focus on college ^^! It's totally understandable! Oh you're on spring break now?! I've been streaming a lot the past few days it's only been like 3 rows back to back around 10-14hours long LOLL it's pretty exhausting waking up, stream, sleep rinse repeat especially with notifications piling up. So yeah won't be streaming for long periods for a few days, might stream tomorrow later at night for a few hours (est time) if you can catch me during then o v o. Otherwise I'll prob be streaming on Monday and Tuesday andd maybe whenever my friends are also streaming during the week.

Ahh Thankyou so much ; v ; even though the animation isn't anything hardcore impressive, it definitely wasn't necessary, the animation right now is just simple and gets the message across aswell as compliments well with the details of the artwork ; v ; or so imo.
Ahh yeah time Q u Q I spend soo much time on my artwork, personally a lil too much imo LOL but it really pays off in the end and you tend to learn a lot more too since you're paying more attention to what you're doing and are always bringing a new fresh pair of eyes when you look at it.
