Ahhhhhh, I'm not too sure if I can give you quite a good review on the game x'D especially since I'm a really old player and I've seen many things changeee about the game that to me lost it's great social aspect. I'll be straight to the point with you, if you hate grinding and don't have a couple of close friends to play with, it's going to get boring real quick For new players it can be even more confusing since the game now has wayyyyy too many classes to choose from and so many maps and not knowing which maps to train in or have the best gear to train in better stronger maps. 
There's a lot of cute perma clothes that covers your armour but that costs $ and or quite a bit of ingame money. Ingame money is also pretty hard to get started for a free to play/ new player :'D it's possible but still hard. 

But for me I know the game quite well enough to get by on my own, since I've been playing for it for years on and off :'D I also have friends who still play it today with me LOL though we're not as active due to life stuff it's fun when we can all get on and do stuff together or just chill and talk. 

In terms of advertising with most games you can easily set up a "art shop" on the game's official website's forum page. They'll have a category for fancreations or artwork etc something along that line, depending on some games you can actually make quite a lot or so I heard. Maplestory doesn't have much of an active or a lot of art shops set up which to me may be perfect to getting all the attention and work cause there's almost no competition. However in other games I've played like Elsword, their forums have a looooot of people who've had artshops set up before and honestly it looks like it's pretty good to make some money off of. 

I'll prob try setting one of my own on day since I just absolutely adore Maplestory characters > v <

i will DEFINITELY check it out then, it seems very cute and appealing to me hehe
about that though, im a bit too shy to set up shops especially in unknown places
but ill at least enjoy the game even with so much grinding hehehe xD
