That looks... okay I guess, a bit confusing since I do think you're using too bright colors for the effects and background, those clash really hard with the character herself... So when that effect came up, it actually makes your eyes rotate to it, instead of shifting focus to the character, which errr gave me a headache.
About the grief, I think it's because you're painting over a master study of the character (don't get me wrong, looking at the art style does remind of sakimichan's work), that thing never goes well in the eyes of many people, so it's best you put something in the description crediting sakimichan. I don't mean to talk you down, but believe me that is a very serious issue later on when you get better and people start digging your art, it might get out of control really fast.

It is sakimichan 's work. Original is here. So they copy and pasted then rotated the body parts around (look at the arms). Added a bit of whatever around. Granted, they can actually chop-shop decently enough, but this isn't their work. Also, Pizza just announced they're thinking of stealing your art, and they plan on putting these things on patreon to make a profit. Sorry to jump in, but message needs to get out.

Welp I do realize the similarities, so don't worry, I'm not worried about that. I have worked in the industry long enough to know what's gonna happen if people do what you just said. The internet doesn't forget...
But let's hope he/she is a decent person who will realize that it's not a good thing to make money from others' art.

Yeah. Gotten enough of my stuff stolen and modded too, so seen those outcomes.
I think in this one's case they need a little bit more of a forcefully guided hand. But yeah, eventually the internet will sort them out. It usually does.
But since they expressed interest in modding something of yours, maybe watch out.

Still that doesn't say anything about putting these particular works on sale, maybe it's gonna be their original works there.
I can't comment anything until the page is actually launched ;-; right now he/she doesn't do anything too harmful apart from not properly crediting the artists I guess? But since he/she asked me for permission, I don't think he/she actually meant any ill intent. It's just the process of learning, when people do these study they often ended up feeling really good about themselves in the end because the product is usually much better than their usual works - thus the need for exposure.
I'd give them time and just see if things turn out for the better.

I don't usually see this type of thieving, but I've been around here for so, so long (two weeks shy of 16 years), it has come up several times. And pretty repetitious pattern. "Check out my work. It's awesome!" "Even though I'm not upfront that I ''borrowed" this from someone else."

While on the one hand, I am slightly glad that there are people protecting Sakimi Chan's artwork. Harassing someone is wrong and a violation of DA policy. If they have any concerns, they need to contact Sakimi Chan on Patreon. Of course, if they did that in the first place. They'd already know who I am. If they actually knew or really cared about Sakimi Chan, they'd do that rather than just assume. x.x
But they won't do that. Because they're just e-bullies. That's why they are okay with harassing someone even though it is a violation of DA policy.
Their only interest is to hate on someone. If they can't do it, they don't want anyone else to do it. They make themselves feel good by trying to bring others down.
Don't tolerate bullies or haters. I am only taking the time to let you know because you are my buddy, Shizen. And you welcomed me and were nice to me. ^-^
But I am asking you to not be a part of hate spreading. Do not indulge the e-bullies. x.x
The best policy is to block them. If you feed them, they never stop.
