er...i got bored, and this was the result. this is only a small section of the entire drawing. hes a new character of mine, the result of listening to golden age of grotesque cd over and over again, lol. everytime i listen to it, i get a picture of this guy in my head. kinda wierd. but ne way, this was originally inspired by the song spade on the cd. if u listen to it, it might make sense. i posted this as a deviation cuz i dont know that ill ever finish it, lol.done in corel painter 9
er, yea, i suck royally at digital art. i should practice a bit more, cuz i would like to get good at it eventually. itll help a lot when i get a tablet, but until then, my mouse will have to do.
any thoughts?

Oh man this poor jester definately needs a hug! I love his hair, eye make-up, and outfit. It just blends in so well together. I also like the spade arrow; so awesome! Keep up the good work! (The only flaws I see is the hat doesn't fit him very well and he is a little too skinny, but other than that great job)

this is just to say, if the arrow had gone all the way trough him, then wouldnt the entire top half of the arrow have to be covored in blood instead of just the tip? just sayin... neway IM A HUGE FAN OF JESTER AN I LOVE UR DRAWIN!!!!!!!!!!

yea i'd agree u got room for improvement but hey you're doing a hell of alot better than me. keep practicing though. and it really is a very cool pic, ideas that just come to you usually are.

One thing that bugs me about this is the predominance of pure black and greys. Compositionally, black will suck the color out of everything, making the work look "tired" for lack of a better word. Eh, might just be personal preference though.

this gives me kind of a "grotesque" feeling. itΒ΄s very nice, even if itΒ΄s not perfect or finished yet - you should complete it! by the way, what the hell is this digital art anyway, still donΒ΄t get it! however maybe iΒ΄m getting to old for that things.

Can you tell me who makes the CD that you mentioned? I'm working on a website for a toystore, and I want to do it a little bit different, kind of a mad-hatter sort of thing. Maybe the cd can provide some inspiration?
