Description
In c. 220 B.C., under Qin Shi Huang, sections of earlier fortifications werejoined together to form a united defence system against invasions from the
north. Construction continued up to the Ming dynasty (1368–1644), when
the Great Wall became the world's largest military structure. Its historic
and strategic importance is matched only by its architectural significance.

definitely worth a DD, I went to china when I was younger it's a shame I wasn't more experienced at photography because i'm not proud of any of my photos of the wall of china

Just being curious, here, but since I have never seen the Great Wall in person, I have a question
Are there any modern roads intersecting with the Wall? Or do they all go around it?

the great wall is not a continuous one, it stops at certain points.
i don't think they damaged it in anyway to make roads though but i'm not sure
