The characters are so badass and their motorcycles are sriously wicked. You have done an amazing job. The background makes the characters stand out more, how do you do that?

I love this art as much as the movie (although the manga was WAY better).
You even used the art style that was seen on the manga cover, that was actually quite brilliant. Very good use of the different shades of red; you managed to apply enough stroke and contrast to avoid clashing. In the future, you might want to be a bit careful with the mix of light and dark (at the bottom) so that some of the art doesn't blend in too much (ie, the shoes). A bigger canvas to avoid cutting off the text perhaps (far left/right). Still, that's just a nit pick. It still looks great. Makes you want to read all those enormous manga volumes all over again.

The opening scene and the first bit of music set the tone for the rest of the movie, for me. Pure art.

Love that movie very influential for me, when I saw it the first time it pushed the boundries of everything I knew, and felt a strong connection with the gang, so am really liking this. In terms of heroes they are not princes, they are poor orphans, psychics, revolutionaries, politicians I guess everyone agrees Akira its a mark in history.
I think the drawing is great but is missing the harrowingness, the growing up in a world that has experienced a cathasthophe, and is bound to repeat it, the is a small hope though.
The people and motorcicles are great, and so is the composition, Ant thr letters in the background. perhaps you could convey the other factors with color, brushstrokes and maybe textures made by marks.
