Description
This artwork was inspired by seeing some Youtube videos of ROM hack gaming, mostly of a Super Mario All-Stars ROM hack... or should i say of a New Super Mario Bros. Wii ROM hack, that is mostly all about Super Mario All-Stars, but with more Mario games added to it, for some reason.Click on this link to see what i'm talking about.
In any case, Elizabeth is playing a ROM hack of a Super Mario game on her Wii, hence on her playing with the Wii Remote, like an NES controller or so, with Shizuka and Gloria, both gamer girls at best, looking on in curiosity, as they've never heard of a New Super Mario Bros. Wii ROM hack... or if they did, they obviously have not heard of this one.
As for the background, this is the first time i've drawn a gaming collection background, though i was inspired by the Angry Video Game Nerd's game room, in which his many games are being shown. My background of it kinda sucked, but i did the best to show the best representation of the gaming collection that Elizabeth has behind her, meaning her many consoles (Playstation, Sega Genesis, Gamecube, Dreamcast, Nintendo Switch, Game Boy, Wii U, NES Classic Edition, Super NES Classic Edition, Famicom Mini, Game Boy Micro, New Nintendo 2DS XL, Game Boy Advance SP and Game Gear) and her many game collections (such as her Sega Genesis game collection, her 3DS game collection, her Nintendo Switch game collection, her Nintendo Gamecube game collection and her Playstation 2 game collection).
You might say Elizabeth is quite packed in gaming, like many Youtuber gamers out there are. And whether she plays a normal game or a ROM hack, she mostly does that for fun and for reviewing it, to all of you folks. Sure wish i had that many gaming stuff myself, like Liz does.

I just had a thought. I don't know if I remember but somehow but based on my experience as a geology dealer/vendor, I can see Elizabeth being a dealer who work to build up her collection by buying, trading or selling extra stuff to earn money so to buy rarer stuff.

Hmmmm. You know, i haven't thought about that myself. In earning money, that's no problem, she works at a bondage model agency and my broski 's Trisha Carter, who's her boss AND bestie, does pay her models well, i do believe.

Yep, You have been to the Conventions right? You have seen the dealers there.
I see.

Hmmm. Yeah, i did... and you know what, now that i think about it, Liz does go to Flea Markets from time to time and tries to find good deals on some games. She also goes to either Amazon or eBay (something i don't really do myself) for rarer deals.

Right.
Ā Ā Ā There are times when one would have to buy the whole collection just to get at a rare item. Like for example, let's say there's a Star Fox PowerFest Cartidge in a big game collection but the seller wants to sell the whole collection at once.Ā Ā What would one do with the surplus stuff? Sell or trade!
Geology conventions are similar to the pop-culture cons you have been to and being a geology dealer is one of my several jobs.

Hmmm, good point. Well, Liz's no fool, she mostly negociate deals with the person in mind, only asking how much is said solo cart without sacrificing an entire collection... though if there's a game she wants to sell too, she'll negociate a deal with the person and if it really is a good deal, she'll go for it.
Speaking of which, i did also watch a series of videos from Youtuber Pat Contri (aka Pat The NES Punk) that is all about flea market deals, called Flea Market Madness. He simply goes out to those flea markets in his area to find good deals on games and other goodies that are way cheaper than what you'd find on eBay or Amazon.

Yep. That can work but not with some really stubborn people. I know from my experience with trying to get specific items, but failing... :/ There was guy who had to sell a collection as insisted by her wife and half of his collection is junk which i don't want while I only wanted some of this and this. But he was stone-hard firm on selling everything at once. "Take all or leave me alone" thing.
Oh, there are several shows similar to what you're talking about. My father is a "Garage Sale" Picker so he likes to watch those shows like American Pickers, Pawn Stars and there was a show about finding rare toys also.Ā I have done a similar with some minerals and fossils. There are some rocks that are worth the money like red and black Kentucky Agate for example. I remember finding one for $5 and then sold it for $250.00.
....now that got me thinking about NES (and some SNES) games I still have and all of them still come with their boxes like Megaman series..vĀ *looks them up* WHOA!Ā I was surprised to discover that Dragon Warrior 4 (with box and everything) which I have is worth quite a plenty. O_O
....hmm? is it me or are the Megaman games (both NES and SNES) seem over-valued or what?...

Not to worry, Liz is keeping her eye on scumbag sellers or resellers and ensures not to get screwed over.
As for me, i still have my Donkey Kong Country competition cart that i ordered from the then-existing Super Power Club store from Nintendo Power years ago.

Well, she does have some small arcade reproduction cabinets, but i've not included those in there. She also own several Game & Watch handhelds too, including the Zelda one as well.

I have seen how some people have several original arcades in their basements. There're still some of those older computer games that came out before Atari.

Well, Liz possesses tons and tons of games and consoles (and handhelds too) in her game room... though in arcade games, well... she only have those in game compilations and even in the Arcade Archives, released on current gen consoles, including the Nintendo Switch.

Even rare ones? I remember finding an old silvery game cartilge shaped like a triangle which came from a failed run of some game console.

Even the ultra rare Powerfest 94 cartridge (the real deal, not some reproduction cart), that was used for the competition of the same name.
And what old silvery cartridge are you referring to? Got any pics of that?

Yes, I remember Powerfest 94. I by accident entered one without knowing it mainly because I was young and curious. It was Star Fox thing and I played it only once before my mother came to drag my away. I did get "StarFox" pin through.
I just looked it up and finally found out what it is.Ā It's Coleco Telstar Arcade.

Ahhh, i see what you mean Coleco. Well, Liz may own that too, as well as an Odyssey, but i've not drawn those either.
As for Powerfest 94, i strongly remember playing that game once at my amusement park in Montreal in 1994. It was the one that had Super Mario Lost Levels' first level in it, as well as Super Mario Kart's first race track and Ken Griffey Jr.'s baseball game, but mostly the home run contest. I don't remember what my score was when i played it, but it was a fun competition game to play with. I didn't win anything though, but the memories of that one still lives on in my mind, even to this day.

That's interesting. Now most Powerfest 64 cartidges are gone, very few survived at all....

Yeah, i know, mostly two carts, if i'm not mistaken, are still out there... i think. Even so, it is regarded as one of the rarer games that exists out there.
