Recall, for a moment, that Kamek has tried multiple times to turn us on each other via magical manipulation. The way he’s been trying to control the dragons especially might remind you of a rogue viking named Drago Bludvist, a barbaric maniac who tried to enslave dragons with an iron fist and no mercy. He abused a Bewilderbeast dragon when it was young, leading it to become a giant husk of itself that controlled dragons in the name of its cruel master. Even Toothless was one of the victims, but as Hiccup, the Chief who brought the dragons and humankind of their time together, said, to earn a dragon’s loyalty and love was to form a bond that not even mind control could break. In the end, Toothless rose up and inspired all of his comrades to do the same and fight back against the oppression that Drago brought upon them, defeating him in a swift and humiliating manner.
To that end, something… er… similar… happened one time that Kamek tried using dragon control magic to enslave Sparky. Believing that his fire and ferocity could be used for his twisted goals, he tried enchanting Sparky’s mind and heart.
Ah, but that fool has much to learn about the meaning of love, doesn’t he?
Sparky may be ferocious, but as we all know, the fire in his heart is ferociously LOYAL to his fwends and family, never to a meaningless drip like Kamek.
The dimwitted wizard put everything he had into the spell, and it was nowhere close enough to possess Sparky. In fact, it began to decay wand #32894 due to how much power was being sapped! Of course, such a tense moment had us on edge at least a bit, because the thought of losing Sparky was… well… more than any of us could take.
But we were silly to worry that such a thing could happen. He wasn’t just a cutie. He was and is a cutie of a HERO. He’s as lovable as he is versatile, and he used that to his advantage when his turn to attack came aROUND (okay, that was terrible, lol).
*BWUMP!*
Sparky, without a second thought, gave Kamek a good whopping balloon belly bump, winding the wizard and sending him hurtling beyond the blast zone, his wand falling dejectedly to the ground whilst the orb of the sceptre broke into a bunch of pieces.
A hug was an order afterwards. Our Sparky was safe and sound, not to mention strong and sweet.
Besides, looks like King Olly got a good laugh out of it too!
