Description
Say hello to my very first 3D model! After a few months of learning and hard work, it's finally finished!
It's a highpoly model of one of my own concepts. It's got just over 2 million polys.

Modeled in 3Ds Max 2017, rendered in Keyshot 6.

the shape for no reason resembles a Blaser R93 and Sako TRG,yet the operator wants to put a bullet to your head under 1000 yards
Congrats!

Big congratulations on successful project!
Looks really well-made, solid and pleasant to look at. And the level of tiny details seems really better than what I can achieve (but all I have is the side view, of course... completely off-topic, I'm seriously considering getting an air rifle this summer - if I only can find a good, safe place to shoot it; might not help with the models, but at least I wouldn't be so completely clueless about guns...).
I can see that you tried different textures as well! I especially like the grey one.
Guess your job was much easier when it comes to texturing and rendering part, thanks to Keyshot. Blender does not have ready-to-use solutions here (but of course, I can re-use & modify my own solutions from previous projects).

You too can use keyshot! They have a two week free trial. Should be more than plenty of time to render.
Thanks a lot, my friend. I guess we're fellow modelers now, huh?

Haha, sure we are!
I may try out Keyshot for curiosity, but at this point I have materials in Blender under my control; no necessity for replacements.
What I meant is that Keyshot, from what I've seen on YouTube, has rather gentle learning curve. Blender is probably no less powerful, but much more hardcore-technical, as it exposes all nuts and bolts, while not having much in terms of ready-to-use starting solutions. It's as if PMG had no ready parts to be pasted, only the geometrical shapes as starters. So Blender can be considered more complicated, less user-friendly.
Then again - as said - I have it well under my control now, so it stays my main software piece for good (especially that nothing else has so great hair simulator, aside from expensive commercial programs). Besides, it is kind of 'philosophy' thing for me, to stay with free software solutions as much as realistically possible.

This looks like it would punch a hole in your face, and several other faces behind you.

Beautiful! This looks like it could be used in a mod for maybe Unreal Tournament or so on.

You tease and then you please my friend, that's the only way to roll (absolutely did not mean that sentence in a suggestive manner )

Nice! did you model the grainy, brownish material or is that a texture?

I'm glad I didn't have to model that! Haha that's a bump texture.

A simple, yet elegant rifle. But most importantly, functional.

Ballistic. It fires SABOT rounds, specially designed to punch through ballistic vests, (light) armor, protective suits and cover.
