Kf-104 Rhino / Kinayafighter

Arguably, the first fighter designed and produced entirely in the 21st century, the Oyanan Kf-104 Rhino is a marvel of political maneuvering and aerospace design. The history of the Ky-104 can be traced back to the rise of the nation of Oyana and international investment on the Kinayan continent.
During the 20th century, the Kinayan continent was torn apart by strife between nations, partially fueled by ideological competition between Raehill and Strojia.

But there also existed deep and historical divisions between Kinayan nations. These divisions became more apparent, with the end of the cold war during the 1990s, as state sponsored funding for nations dried up. Looking for a way forward, the various nations of Kinayan began to look at multinational corporations to invest their nation's infrastructure.
Amongst these was Oyana who wooed in Shou Wein investment, citing it's Oyana's young and educated workforce. Arguable, Oyana was the most successful out of Kinyan nations, nearly doubling it's GDP by 2020.

Despite this newfound prosperity, Oyana still experienced tension with it's neighboring countries. Also, the Oyanan government began to chafe under Shou Wein's economic deals, seeming them as exploitative. Oyana choose military cooperation as a way to bridge divides with it's neighbors and as a path to forming a security block to counter Shou Wein's influence.
In response, Shou Wein began to deploy it's carrier fleets near Oyana shores in "trade policing" operations. Claiming Oyana territorial waters and straights as 'international waters.' Worse yet, artificial islands and megafloats began to be built off Oyana's and allied nation's shores.

The Kf-104 Rhino project was designed to be a "Kinyafighter" a common jet between Oyana and her allies to counter these developments.
Development began in 2025 with emphasis on long range strike and air defense. The strategy being to keep Shou Wein's carrier fleets as far as a way as possible from Oyana's shores and out of trade lanes. Furthermore, this design had to incorporate stealth features in order to counter Shou Wein's stealthy naval fighters.

As a result, the Kf-104 is a large fighter, with a spacious internal bomb bay and generous fuel storage. And boldly, the Kf-104 featured a combined elevator/rudder design for efficient mobility at high speeds.

Fast development was also a concern. Digital design and VR simulation was used throughout the project, speeding it's deployment versus similar stealth aircraft. It is rumored that Shou Wein's international rival, Raehill, contributed that technology from it's F-32 Oriole project.
Additionally, many of the Kinyafighter partner nations lacked institutional training and infrastructure. So Oyana's export of the type included full immersion simulators for flight and Maintenace, including the us of VR technology. This enabled rapid introduction to all partner nations by 2035.
