Description A Mig 25UB Foxbat doing what it does best.... actually this picture is not exactly true. The trainer versions have no combat capabilities.

Ah, who cares, it's a sweet design anyways. I plead the rule of cool on this one.

Wow... What a coincidence, I just submitted my "PVO Strany" interceptor aircrafts.

Nice. I always thought Lavohkin (sp?) always had some interesting designs. I did not know that were still competing by the time the Fiddler was being designed.

Actually, they are designed for same role, but with different ways.

Excellent job. I would'nt have noticed the 2 seat versions combat capability if you had'nt mentioned it. I t probably would'nt take much to convert it anyway.

It would probably depend on what you're trying to do. If you look at the single seaters, they have a BIG nose, for a big radar and the UB doesn't. You would miss that radar as an interceptor. I suppose you can put cameras on it, and make it a recon plane. But learning to fly a Mach 3 capable manned missile may warrant a version just for getting the "basics" down. That' what we did with the SR-71.

On another note, thank you everybody for the feedback. Any constructive criticism is welcome. I have a lot to learn with digital painting, I'm still trying to train my eye. Anything like this, I have to use references.

I think there was a recon version used by the IAF in the 80'S.

I wouldn't be surprised. I mean, they managed to keep the Tomacats flying, from the 70s. The Russians probably got alot of secrets from those.

Lol, I mean't IAF of India, not IRAF of Iran. As far as I, the MIG's Irans got is the Fulcrum and Chinese made Fishbeds. And yeah, they've done well keeping their Tomcats in the air.

Awesome drawing!
Sitting wearing a spacesuit in an interceptor/recon aircraft, flying above mach 3 and firing a missile. What more could a man ask from life? Man, I really envy Mig-25 pilots.

actually it more then likely has some combat capabilities, those pilots have to train for it somehow right? (firing on test targets for example)
