As you might've guessed, this is my card for 's project :3 Here's more info about it: [link]I was happy to draw something quite symbolic for change. I love hidden symbolism
nine of swords
Deception, premonitions and bad dreams, suffering and depression, cruelty, disappointment violence, loss and scandal. All of these may be overcome through faith and calculated inaction. This is the card of the martyr and with it comes new life out of suffering.

The two at the top are super cool too :* the red ribbon, does it happen to be the ribbon of destiny/fate (or whatever it is DX)?? it's fantastic! esp. how it's wrapped around his neck, makes me think of how in the long run, your destiny is to die. it's beautiful. completely and utterly *_*

Haha, the ribbon indeed means "death" xD See how it is wrapped around his neck AND the sword? It's also wrapped around the hands on the top so it kind of tells that he is going to cause that death by himself..(The red color of the ribbon also signifies blood)

ahhh kay!! XD no problem! I love doing this kind of stuff XD doing the IB programme where we've actually gotta have a purpose behind our work (which is a pain) and more often than not we end up just making up reasons for why we chose something XDDD the fact that there was another meaning behind it all tempted me to try and figure out what it was XD how could i /not/ ??
It is wonderful work though 8D fantastic job (man i need some more adjectives these ones are running old XDD)

Your Nice of Swords has captured the essence of the "dark". A trully astonishing work. However, the air of martyrdom is so intense that it has almost fully covered the idea of rebirth and of triumph over the pain.

I love hidden symbolism as well ;3 the blue roses are gorgeous and i really like the design of that sword
