Here is my contribution to the whole Pirates vs Ninja fad that is going on...It looks like Kasumi and Mai just can't seem to figure out why Ninja are far superior to Pirates and explaining that to their friend May...
Can you give the two girls a good reason why Ninja have the upper hand over Pirate?

It's hard to choose which is better because they both have there perks. Ninjas get to be clean and are cool and silent and all that stuff but pirates get to rowdy and get drunk and rampage and they get lots of money and so much else. Awesome job it is so hilarious. Poor Mai. She needs some Pirate friends to help her out of there.

My first instinct was to say boobs, but I stopped myself and pondered for a moment...It can't be right because I've seen plenty of busty pirates, and plenty of "Ironing Board" ninjas. And even then, boobs only would apply to females...or overweight dudes. So I'd have to say it's because they're more common and expendable?

If you're gonna use Mai and Kasumi to represent ninjas, why not have Nami and Nico Robin represent pirates?

Lol, as has been pointed out, May is certainly not the best representative of the Pirate group as a whole, especially if the defining characteristic in this instance is 'hotness with a side order of yummy T&A'. Grab some of the girls from One Piece, for example, and theyll wipe the floor with Mai and Kasumi any day.
As for the argument on whole, I say it's a bit of a blight on the Ninja side that, although certain classics of our generation like the TMNT will always remain in our hearts, it took the entire Naruto phenomenon, where nobody save one or two characters are ACTUALLY NINJAS, to make ninjas "cool" again in the majority of the public's eyes.
As for all the stealth vs. high seas thing, pirates don't NEED the stealth/all in black package, the whole POINT is to cause as big a rumpus as possible, have as much fun, and do all those great Piratey things the total list of which is too numerous to count. Ninjas have to obey all these stuffy rules and mainly kill things and that's it. Cool maybe, but not fun at all.
