Can you give the two girls a good reason why Ninja have the upper hand over Pirate?

That...is actually an amazing counter. Heck, like 90% of the women in that series would count. 9% aren't pirates, and the remaining 1% are...horrifying.

Despite the charms of Kasumi and Mai, I throw my lot in with pirates. I use Granblue decks in Vanguard, I love Captain Liliana from Queen's Blade, and then there's Sengoku Basara's Motochika Chosokabe, and his pirate crew. Rocket-powered anchor that can surf over land or sea? Said anchor also doubles as a halberd and chain whip? Somehow built a giant ocean-going fortress with a HUGE cannon, and even added tank tracks for land travel? And, for laughs, capable of building a ridiculously complicated television to watch the anime he appears in? Motochika can do it all!
Plus, pirates don't usually suffer in numbers. A lone ninja is a grave threat; 100 ninja are cannon fodder.
