Description
Severely cropped version of my latest Schoolism assignment- the foreground was woefully unfinished, so Iβm zeroing in on the part Iβm actually happy with. This week we got to work on top of Prince of Egypt/Road to El Dorado layout drawings (by the inimitable Christian Schellewald, cannot take credit for the amazing composition), which was simultaneously awesome and daunting. Why did I choose the composition with piles upon piles of meticulous jungle foliage? BEATS ME. :[

Sometimes an unfinished foreground helps with the overall imagery. I think if you cropped the left a little... you could just get away with what you have. (but what fun would that be really!) I would love to see this when it is done.Β

Schoolism? *googles it*Β ...I was thinking it'd be an art movement akin to Stuckism or something, honestly
Β Not sure if I wanna apply, tho', despite evidence of quality workmanship here.Β How is it?

I adore your lighting. It's gorgeous, I hope to be as good one day. Can I ask, do you draw completely from your head or do you use references for pieces like these?Β
