Description
The eff happened to the submit page ._.Anyways on we go. Decided to do this at class due to the number of requests I have received in drawing in this style. It's free to download, so go on ahead. It's alright if you trace over this and practice but you will learn faster if you do your own thing while taking this as a guide. I'm not a pro on this thing so there will be inaccuracies in what I do. It's all based on my own observation and what I've learned in anatomy.
As for the Pikachu and Charmander, someone asked about how I draw them. Well I don't really do a lot of Pokemon drawings, but I'd say references are a really great help. I find charmander to be a bean-shaped Pokemon while Pikachu's simplified into a little blob with heavy thighs XD I wish I could explain but I have no idea with what I'm doing either. /shot. No no really, it was my first take on that Charmander so forgive me for any inaccuracies TuT Just draw the basic shapes first, then add the details.
I think I've explained enough with the details, but if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I'd be happy to help!
I do not own this style nor Pikachu and Charmander. The characters are sample characters and have no names :3

It'll be a lot easier if you do this by pen and paper first, though--I promise you, it doesn't have to be digital!Β

How do you change poses when you draw Pokemon? I really struggle with that

Use references! As you do, tweak the proportions to meet the Pokemon style's standard. It takes so much practice so you have to be patient with yourself.

Do you use the same face shape and eyes (without the eyelashes) for boys?
π: 0 β©: 1
ShootingStar03 In reply to ScribbleArt1048 [2016-09-25 08:08:48 +0000 UTC]
Yup!! I just make sure the proportions are slightly different for guys--like you mentioned, lashes, less defined lower lip, slightly longer face etc

do you have on for male body shapes? if you do, can you link me to it? thanks. Β .-.

ShootingStar03 In reply to Luke-Da-Silva [2016-05-14 17:06:00 +0000 UTC]
Unfortunately no, but the proportions follow this principle 8) I would suggest putting in blocky shapes, broader shoulders and narrow waist for males

Thank you soooo much! You've probably saved my life with that human character tutorial. I've sucked at drawing human characters (especially ones from PokΓ©mon) for years, and now I'm actually able to do that (albeit with the tutorial onscreen at all times.). Thanks so much ^^

This helped so much! I was designing a character for a fanfiction I'm writing, and I really wanted to take a break from my normal style and try using the style they used in Pokemon. Thank you!
