Description
Upon playing through the prologue of Undertale, I reluctantly had to strike against Toriel in the basement ruins to progress.

Little did I know I only had to keep on pressing the Spare button to make a peaceful resolution with Toriel, which I had already done many times without any progress, I just didn't know exactly how many times I had to press it to make a peaceful outcome of the situation (I have no reason to hurt or kill anyone, so why should I? And especially with the one who wants to take care of me!).

I killed her, by accident. I only wanted to strike a few times to create a reaction (but why would I even do that? I shouldn't have hit her once) but not fatally, but before I knew it, a critical hit was dealed, and I took her life, just about the only friend I had.

I immediately quit the game, to redo it all, and this time Really smash that spare button, which finally worked.
However, the memory of my mistake will not leave, and Flowie knows it just as well.

This prologue struck me harder than almost any other video-game and movie experiences i've ever had, on par with Life is Strange. I must continue playing, try to make amends.
