Awesome!!!!!! Thanks so much for this. The more I learn about fractals, the more I enjoy creating with them.

I liked your tutorial a lot, so me and a couple of my friends got together and did it as a chat event in Aposhack. There were some bits that confused us. so I put together a flamepack that has a parameter set of each step. I also posted an FAQ deviation that explains the parts we found confusing. You can see it here: :thumb279420803:

um.... is there a specific program or something that the file is supposed to be opened in? it could be that i have a mac because all im getting is a folder of jpgs and an .db file <- that is unopennable for me. sorry for my lack of skill at opening files, but if you could help it would be greatly appreciated

I'm not sure which is cooler, the fractal look itself or all of the great details about fine Apo manipulation of the staff lines, bars and notes. Thank you.

I had a go at this

I couldn't get the gradient to come out like yours though...and the notes seemed to fade neared the edge.
any tips?

nice the main things that will help make a constnt gradient are the weights of the transforms that duplicate the notes, and the overall brightness setting of the flame.. oddly enough the brighter the fractal, the better the black will show up

Cool tutorial- one problem.
In the Tutorial the pictures don't work for me so i can't tell what coordinates are being put in for the bar lines, and etc.
Do you think you could take some screenshots of the tutorial with the pictures or something so i can tell what to do?
A script of this would be awesome as well, as well as a piano tutorial or script, those are awesome too.

this is really insane man! i've dreamed of such things like having desired shapes since i first knew about fractals...
what can i say, it's overwhelming
that time i saw a movie about UF and the depth of it but the only interesting stuff was about enlarging pictures without loosing quality [dunno when we'll have acces to that] but having something like this in APo... quite cool. i'll try it these days

Download it, store all the composite files in the same folder, and open the .html in your internet browser. It really is a well done tutorial!

Oh, the tutorial's for Apophysis, a fractal generation program... It's designed for the 3d hack version. It's a little steep a learning curve if you've never seen it before, so if you want to play around, you might want to check some beginners tutorials. Anyways, you can find both the most recent version and the 3D hack on [link]
And you can find lots of great resources at [link]
Hope this helps!

i think you have to download the file, it might be too big to see on the internet or something. . .
