Grats on the DD, I've uploaded my first attempt with the tutorial here [link]
I really enjoyed this, and for the things I mention, if you have any advice? (fading, weights, etc) I consulted the Apophysis chat a few times here on DA, and I'm pretty sure too many triangles simply makes weights that much more complicated.

Thanks, nice image!
The only thing that seems to help a lot with the fading is making the weights higher on the linear transforms, and raising the brightness of the flame itself

Hah okay. And both links are separate images. I'm glad you like them!

I am having trouble viewing this tutorial, all I see is broken images. I've tried to move the tutorial.html to the Pictures folder and see if that works, but it didn't. Any idea?

It's in a compressed file. You have to extract the file from the compressed folder, other wise the pictures will all be broken.

Okay i got it fixed. It just won't showed on Firefox (weird) but it shows perfectly fine on Safari. I don't IE, btw. lol

I have firefox and it won't work for me either. It only allows me to open it through a computer file of my own and then the pictures don't even show up. :/

Extract the file from the compressed folder, or you won't be able to view it properly.

Thank you so much! I will definitely let you know if I come up with anything identifiable as music (so far not so much, but that's my own trouble, not trouble with the tutorial.. It seems pretty straight forward). You are a genius!

Great tutorial, but no matter how hard I try, I don't get the lines to muliply... I must be fractal-stupid...

Shortgreenpigg In reply to erikalr [2008-02-03 15:54:08 +0000 UTC]
which lines doth you speak of?
π: 0 β©: 1
erikalr In reply to Shortgreenpigg [2008-02-03 16:39:34 +0000 UTC]
The lines created by the first triangle and the ones you get by duplicating it. Even though I move them up as it says, I only still have one line.

Shortgreenpigg In reply to erikalr [2008-02-07 02:10:02 +0000 UTC]
it sounds like you're moving the triangle itself and not the post transform, make sure the px button is pushed before you move it. Hope that helps if not let me know

I like the Tut very much. It gives a newbie like me a much better understanding on how Apo works. Opens up a lot of possibilities.
Thank you tons and tons. (I need to read more flame theory..)
Great work, good html (didn't check the source) and well organized tutorial. Very satisfying and easy to follow. Good job!
