Day 2: Intertwined

"Tahno realized one night that it was nearly impossible for him to fall asleep without having his fingers intertwined into Korra's soft hair. It had started as an absentminded habit, because he could never resist its silky texture as it spilled across the pillows, sheets, and his bare skin. Korra didn't mind this aspect of their sleeping ritual, and she found it comforting to have his hand nestled into her loose strands. At the end of the day, no matter what had happened, it was always nice to lay down and intertwine her body with his, because they just seemed to fit together. She loved to snake her arm around his torso and let her hand settle on his chest while her head rested on his broad shoulder. But the tranquility of the night came from more than his fingers in her hair or their bodies wrapped around each other; it was their lives, their hopes and dreams, and their destinies, always intertwined both physically and emotionally. Never one without the other."
