Since I got out of class early today and finished two of the more stressful things for class, I decided to treat myself to personal art before I work on more homework tomorrow!

That's very old... and his eye always bothered me, so may as well make a new one. xD

Annnnnd I decided at the last minute that Pierce should have his brother with him. :3
Yes, Pierce had a brother. Not for very long, however. His brother was killed and eaten after a few weeks of being alive by a male of his own kind. Mama came in on time to save Pierce. D:

So with growing up, he didn't even know he had a twin. Which... it wouldn't have mattered anyways, because Pierce hates other males. xD;; He may have fought with half brothers later in life, possibly, too.

This was also a great opportunity to show the differences in bat demons even when they are born from the same mother and father. Color, patterns and fur can be all different, though will of course have some traits from the mother and the father. Pierce is more like his dad while his brother was more like his mom, in looks and coloration. Even tail length can be different, as well as extra color patterns... though not to a large extent. Some of the darkening of their fur is alike yet different.

And yes, this is their actual size when born, too. Their wings are usually curled around them when in the womb, as well.

I may or may not draw Pierce with his brother again. They were together for such a short amount of time... their eyes may not have even opened up by the time the poor little guy was killed.

(oh, and Pierce is to the right if you haven't seen my character before. lol)

Bat demon pups are born rather skinny, too, so they tend to need a LOT of mama milk for several weeks to become more plump and healthy. xD;

Edit: ALSO, since they are pups/really young, their fur starts out very light. As pups grow older their fur and hair darkens.
