What you say? I feel Oil and graphite is not a good combination for photograph results. The blacks are not deep enough in the painting/drawing. The photo is taken with a phone which could not capture the work properly. Anyways. Please feel free to comment/critique about this study i did.

ohgosh I love this!! the only thing I might suggest is thickening the lower lip just a bit, toward the left-hand side, but this is still phenomenal!!!

Here are the positive things about this:
1. Overall, her facial structure is on point. Her jawline looks good, and her ears look great.
2. The eyes are dang close. I understand the coloring throws it off, so I am going on shape, and you did a great job!
3. The hair looks fantastic! Again, I understand your frustration with the coloring, but the textures look great!
4. Her nose shape is correct, though the coloring problems you had didn't allow you to contour as thoroughly.
I think you did well, but there are some things you could work on that aren't related to the materials:
1. The lip is uneven on the bottom, as if she is biting it. The top lip isn't as full as Emma's but it's pretty close. This causes the chin to look too big despite the fact that it is the correct size.
2. The eyebrows need to be fuller. Emma is known for her youthful unarched and full eyebrows. This throws off the shape of her eyes, which are done well.
3. Her second most popular trait is her freckles, which bring out her French background. They are missing, but that could be from the materials you used. It's a lot easier to make freckles with other drawing materials.
Overall, it looks great, but it's the small details in Emma face that make it look like a girl who looks like her, and not actually her.
