"... Do you think he'll notice?"

Kim sighed, leaning on the fenceboards alongside the covered arena. Lisa wasn't in a much better state, though she was less resigned and more upset.

"Alfred, how many buckskin fillies-- or draft colts, for that matter!-- do we have wandering around the property?!" she demanded, keeping her voice somewhat lower due to the fact that the babies were still banded together, cautiously (or not-so-cautiously) inspecting various parts of the area. Unsurprisingly, Firefly led the charge.

"It's only two more, Lise--"

"It doesn't matter if it's two more or ten more! The filly I can see, though I don't know how you kept LA from Richard this long, but the Shire colt??"

Kim waved a hand between the two of them, forestalling Alfred's reply. "Look... Maybe it's just me, but it seems like the more important issue here is figuring out, now that they're here, who's training them-- and what they're getting trained in."

Lisa rocked back on her heels, taking a second to recompose herself. "No, it's not just you, you're right. It's not the babies' fault. Just yours," she added, leveling a glare at Alfred. She glanced over at the group of foals starting to explore. "... I'm training the Shire, though. The buckskin looks like a handful, and heaven only knows you deserve it after the excitement of training Penny. Also, this is all your fault, so it's only fair."

"... I guess..."

"Lovely, then it's decided. Kim, would you be kind enough to let either Sam or Keith know to make up two more baby-safe stalls?"

"Yes ma'am."

Lisa took a deep breath and held it for a second, then let it out slowly. "Next time... at least let us know before they get here? Surprises in stables are-- generally-- quite bad."

"Hey, at least they're used to the halters. None of them are pawing at them."

Believe me, we're not upset about having new babies. Far from it. But as Alfred tends to be the one buying most of the horses, most of this can be blamed on him. Only thing is, he bought one baby and kept a secret from Rich. If you remember this pleasant little event , there was a small mention made of LA (also known as GV California or Bust ) possibly also being pregnant. And she was. Yet another foal where we have no idea who the father is.

Classes start for me tomorrow, so I may be a little off from my usual uploading schedule for a time.

Edit: This is a halter training image for most of the foals in the picture. Not all of the ones pictured have profiles yet, so this will be updated and submitted to equiBREAK once the profiles are uploaded in about a week.
