These are Waffles first steps this animation is very special to me because I've been drawing Waffles since I was twelve and this is my first attempt at animating him

you're welcome, it's ok if it's old. even the newest thing in the world today will be yesterday's history. like i say, it doesn't mater if it's old, as long as it's good.i used to draw drawings like this when i was little. funny and i did not understood why i drew 'em. until now. i assume you're the creator of these characters?

Wow thanks again so much! What I meant by old was I can animate SOOOO much better now and the characters have grown and evolved a lot too. yes I am the original creator. I still plan to do more with them in the near future, but right now they have been taking a break and are on the backburner while I have been working on a graphic novel. It means a lot they still get feedback and people viewing and commenting on them!

yes, i know what you mean, I'm glad i knew your characters. they've done lots for me. enhusiastically. idk. like my characers, the Dryles for example, i made dem good but now i do them beter.

Actually I have been drawing my characters since probably 1996 or 1997 before Shrek was even announced or in production. I was away at a school and my dad told me about it and I was so excited because I was already obsessed with dragons and donkeys and here a movie was coming out with BOTH. It was also funny because of the comment the donkey made about Waffles, which I just thought was such a crazy coincidence. I have old drawings dated from before shrek though and all of my old school people know I came up with them way before the movies. That image you saw was a commission/trade from the person that introduced me to the online community in the first place. She gave me my first copy of photoshop and I would say I owe a lot to her in that regard. She sort of disappeared as did a lot of old DA veterans. Many moved to FA or just dispersed. Its been almost 10 years already which is hard to believe.

oh. yes it is hard to believe. oh, and a dryle is this dude on my profile picture.so, yes, i thought at frst it was like a reference to Shrek. but i think it's the other way around, it's like Shrek got it from you!jk idk. that's good that you drew these characters nd shared it with everyon, now many people know them. i'm proud of you! mt dad tells me that if i invent a character, i can't tell no one only myself. or else someone else will put their name and they'll take the credit. that's what happened to the person that invented coca cola.
