Aside from Starscream, Sunstorm is my favorite seeker. Takara Tomy has been releasing repaints of the deluxe class Transformers Prime Starscream figure to include Thundercracker and Skywarp. This shan't do, I thought, as mah boy Sunstorm is not part of the trine! So I took matters into my own hands! XD

I used a Transformers Prime deluxe class First Edition Starscream figure and used Model Master paints, sealed with Testor Glosscote. Let me tell you, this is my absolute first experience doing an actual figure repaint! I learned a lot about this hobby real fast, let me tell ya! I've done 1/6 scale doll faces before, but the level of intricacy on these figures is unsurpassed in my level of expertise! I don't know how it fairs against actual hobbyists in this industry, but I'm very pleased with how it came out!

I forgot to take pictures of his jet mode, but when he's in jet mode he's gold and black, and his tummy tattoos extend all the way up to his nosecone. His main drag remains silver.

Now if you've seen the packaging for the other seekers in the Takara line know that they just take 3D artist Jennifer Hoffman's Starscream rigs and just mess with the colors in Photoshop. Looks kinda hilarious. I couldn't resist doing the same thing. X3 I chose this pose because if you follow me on tumblr you may have seen some of my Sunstorm concepts, and there's one where he's looking back like that. Simply perfect! XD

If the rig of Starscream doesn't already make him look like a wasp, the deluxe figures sure do! I mean, they have nosecone butts!
