Oh crap... I had forgotten how much of a hassle it was to draw *chains*, XD!Anyway, in this commission from , Flora, Aarie and Momo have entered a challenge for charity. Chained down, they have to free themselves quickly, and its all happening 15 feet deep!
Of course, they have scuba gear ready, and even rescue divers on the scene if things go wrong.

Hehehe, they all look so silly trying to get themselves out of their "predicaments". Funny enough though, they all have scuba gear, but none of them are using it, and no masks or flippers on? Maybe the tanks ran out and they're breath holding now?

As for the pic, it's supposed to be a challenge, and when GD described it to me, having their regs on didn't feel much like a challenge to me... hence they're not using it right now (perhaps they're allowed a small number of breaths during the contest)

Characters I rarely draw, like Flora, can be considered in a state of "flux" until I end up with a streamlined design.
In the case of Aarie, I can pin it on the very unusual angle and pose I've drawn her.

Awesome pic, looks like you put a lot of work into this one! It's nice to see the girls doing something for charity, but if it was me, I'd have to choose something on dry land, I can't hold my breath to save my life (pun intended)! XD

This reminds me of a monkey island 1 scene, the trick to escape is to just pickk up the ball and swim away with it XD

Hmm... for one, there's not that much interaction between the characters (not touching, etc.) That makes it easier.
BUT, getting the hang of each one's proper size in relation to each other and position, that's another story!
Sometimes I feel like there's a lot of trial and error the way I do things.
Anywho, if you like it, who am I to complain?

I don't know whether it's the angle, but Aarie looks different in this pic. It might have been the hair and the tail ring that helped me recognise her.

Sounds more like a challenge to me if they have only limited chances to breathe anyway. Plus knowing that bunch, they'd probably go for something that loony! o_O
And well, there's plenty of safety divers on the scene, so it's not like they're in their usual deadly danger.
