Probably the last commission for to be seen on my gallery for a while...So here's famed Kitty Pride (a.k.a. Shadowcat) from the X-Men Evolution cartoon, enjoying a refreshing shower in a tropical forest.
First of all, I'm pretty sure Lockheed (the big lizard, for those who don't know) did not show up on the cartoon. But he was quite famous during the time I actually *read* X-Men comics, and I thought it wouldn't be too much of a stretch for him to make an appearance for this pic. Also take note I drew him *entirely* from memory, so don't bother pointing out any mistakes I could have made - just treat it as my own version of Lockheed! (i.e. he was "converted" to my style) :3
Kitty happens to be one of my personal fav characters, mainly because her visage is so incredibly cute. In fact I don't draw her often because I have the hardest time bringing out her face correctly. She's probably the character I want to convert the *less* to my own style... :3 Since she's a teenager, I also tried to "tone down" the usual curves I make for my women.
only specified a "sexy bikini", leaving me to my own devices in creating the thing. Considering Kitty's character, she wasn't probably going for the string bikinis! So I created this little thingie, inspiring myself from the swimwear fashion I recently saw in catalogs.
I had already drawn cascades and chutes, but it's the first time I actually put a character into it - and I think the result isn't that bad!

I would say that I agree with the majority here that Kitty is one of the coolest X-Babes, and you've done a great job capturing her looks here Shoxxe. The bikini is *very* cute, and the water glistning on her body is most skillfully drawn! Another instant fav! Keep up the good work Shoxxe!

Hmm, I like it. Kitty looks pretty nice. Her swimsuit is pretty nice looking, and I like the background. She's one of my favourite X-Men. I also like how she has a recurring role in the Ultimate Spider-Man comics now.
I think Lockheed is pretty neat looking in the picture. I think he might be a little big looking, but I could be wrong. As for him looking kind of different, it's no big deal, lots of artists draw him in different styles, so it's no big deal that he's not as exactly as he should be in the comics.

My fasvorite part of it is when I notriced all the kinds of different types of water droplets in the image.
Especially the dripping ones, the splashy ones, and, of course, the sensual ones.
(Respectively, those falling down her arms and her back, those thrown upward by the dragon, and those sliding down her belly).
Lots of details *everywhere*. One of your rare pics where all parts of the surface image are carefully exploited.

I've been drawing kind of a *lot* of water recently. Had to learn to work with it!

Yup! I think it's your best improvement lately, being able to do background that are not simply '"slim addons", but an integral part of the picture.
Makes your work look a LOT MORE like complete scenes, telling a story of putting an ambiance in there, rather than just "here is this character".
Even your "shortcut" backgrounds manage to do the job a lot better than they did before!
I must say I'm quite impressed.
Maybe having had to leave Arienko, thus giving you the time to focus on a web site like this one, actually turned out to be the best thing possible for you. You've improved a lot more in the last 6 months than in the previous 6 years! (and even then I was thinking that you were improving at a fast rate!).

What you may not know is that for most pics I have minimal guidance. For this one, it was "Kitty in a sexy bikini in a tropical cascade".
Think I handled it quite nicely, IMHO. :3

Man a pic of Kitty now? Awesome! She's always been one of my favorite X-Men characters too and I loved her in Evo. Great likeness of her from that design as well as sexying her up a bit. Nothing wrong with that! Just a bit jealous that Lockheed gets to spend time with her under the water instead of someone else. Like me.
