Description A picture I took around sykesville MD, where I live. This old decaying building always made me want to go around and look at it closer (I always saw it from the road) so I went up and took some pictures. Pretty freaky place. I think it has been used as a drug house and a skater hangout (like most abandoned places I guess)

(edit) I like it a bit more saturated actually. Updated picture.

My grandfather worked there when he was a kid. It's the apple butter factory.

Definitely a recurring color theme in your work--however play around more with color because I know you can control it. Try something like NOPATTERN sometime. From you, it would be interesting and very different.

Glad to see you're still posting.

Thanks for the comment!

To be honest, I know what you are saying. But also, for our photography class, our teacher wants us to play around with duotones.
Sepia isn't that uncommon for photography, and it just fit right in here. Funny thing is, I'm trying to stay away from so blue because that usually dominates my artwork xD... I can't win.
Don't worry, I still have the creative juices flowing- I think-
Oh yeah and what is NOPATTERN?

Blue is also the other one you use a lot... sepia and blue. BUT, it's totally not a bad thing. All I'm saying is that I know you can use it. Not many people are good with color, but I know you for sure are. Even if you tend to stick with earth/desaturated colors.

NOPATTERN is a self-taught graphic artist. You can just Google him and you should find his page. Most of his work is characterized by intense, saturated color across the gamut. Interesting stuff, a few of it I like, most of it I don't. But his work is a good example of heavy saturated imagery with great color control.

By the way, I gotta say this, you're really cute.

Yeah, this is a big building too actually, this is just the corner end of it. There was a hole in the wall on this side, so I could have crawled in there, but who knows what is in there! Maybe I will go if I get up the nerve and take a friend next time...

Thanks for the comment ^^

The sepia effect and the darkness effect makes a real good impact on the photo

Yeah, I really like to visit places that set a cool atmosphere like this... even if I get freaked out and leave shortly after xD

I tried to give it the look I was really feeling while I was there. Next time I will take a friend! hehe.
