Background: The twins were born in Toronto, but moved to Vancouver in June, 2001. They had to move again in September. On 9/11, the twins mother was supposed to be flying from her business trip in New Jersey to California for the wedding of her best friend. Sadly, she caught United flight 93 and never came back. Their father quickly moved the family to Texas where his brother and his family live. They met the KND a few years later. The twins had learned their mother died, but didn't know how until they were 5. After learning this, Rider began shutting everyone out when he was upset.
Fun Fact: Rider gets his name from actor Rider Strong, who played Shawn on Boy Meets World.

Ever since Emily learned of her mother's fate, she's been terrified of planes. But after her first flight in one while visiting the 9/11 memorial in NYC, she wants to learn to fly one someday.
