I'm sure if Ghirahim is in SSBU, he's either have Chocohim as a character skin, or as a final smash. Either way, I really hope he's in...

He looks rather much more muscular in this form, eh?
And by the way, just out of curiosity, how do you take these models straight from the game?

ShrubbyNerb In reply to SukiNano [2012-04-22 23:57:13 +0000 UTC]
You need some devices and programs (which I believe are illegal to share due to piracy, but you're free to search them up on your own) to extract the game data onto your computer, is all I'm gonna say.
A friend of mine owns the devices for ripping games, I doubt could ever afford them myself.

Aah... That's cool.
Thank you very much!!
I never knew technology and programs could do so much these days. XD
Oh my. Then it must be worth a whole lot then.
Once again, thanks!

There are limitations.. it's very hard.. (or requires very expensive equipment) to rip from PS3 games for example.
I don't know if it's the type of disk or the type of coding, but I would really love to rip some models from inFAMOUS.

SukiNano In reply to ShrubbyNerb [2012-04-23 00:16:27 +0000 UTC]
So... Once you rip a model from a game, are you able to pose him/her, or mess with it? 👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Or are you only able to extract the object and watch what the creators programmed it to do?
PS3 games would be very great, cause, y'know... The graphics are amazing. : D
Oh, yes! inFAMOUS contains really great models for you to rip, but I understand it must be terribly expensive.
I hope I'm not making you to think I expect you to rip inFAMOUS as well. >.<
Waayy too expensive.
ShrubbyNerb In reply to SukiNano [2012-04-23 00:23:03 +0000 UTC]
I resorted to dying multiple times to get references of the different types of Reapers in the game for some later drawings, lawl.
[link] That and just plain getting shot.
When you rip a model from the game, depending on what programs you use to export the models, they may export the bones/rigging with the model.
Nintendo games usually have the bones included in the model data, I know Skyward Sword does, that's why it's so easy to pose them.

D'aww. That sucks...
Wow. Neat video. ^_^
Oh, I didn't think that would be possible. o:
That's so cool!
So, you could make your own video or game with 'em if you wanted to? Awesome!
As expected from Nintendo...

Would making your own model take less effort than gathering the equipment for ripping?
It's not like I'm considering ripping, much to complicated, but I'm just a curious child. :b

Depends how much you know about modelling. If you're experienced, then yes, if not, then it'd be easier to shell out over $1000 depending if you have a good computer or want an external hard drive to store the data on

this MAY be a bit TL;DR but a few things you should know:
1) once again awesomely well done ref that is great for making things or just drooling over
2) DO YOU KNOW HOW AWESOME IT IS TO HAVE ANOTHER FEMALE ON HERE WHO ACTUALLY KNOWS WHAT DIFFERENT WEAPONS ARE CALLED!?!? sorry for the spaztardness, but i LOOOOOOOOVEEEE swords & maces & non-gun weapons in general (especially medieval shit) so i found it jizztacular that you actually called his sword a CLAYMORE
3) well, now forget wtf else i was gonna say damn weaponspazzing.
4) random sidenote: i'm not gonna be able to get my friendcode for White until i go to the library or somewhere that has free WiFi so, sorry if you already got those Pokemon for me and have been waiting for me to get the lead out & send you my code

Oh, I'm way in on the medieval weapon scene, because most of the games I play are set in those times, and I have a pretty Claymore and a set of Wakizashi swords on one of them xD
And it's fine, I've been trying to figure out how to get my PS3 wired so I can play MHFU with my friend

only other person i can talk to about weapons is and she mostly likes guns.
i have a love of them from my old-school D&D-playing days. even though i was a sage and couldn't use "traditional" weapons, i still loved to pore though all the ref books we had, looking at all the different types and going XD
