And I finally get Mission 7 underway! 8D Even thought this mission is going to be fairly short, I'm still not sure if I have time to color more pages or not. But we'll see. I'm looking forward to this mission anyway, since I get to go more into Opal's character in this one.As you can see, I'm trying out a few different things in this mission. First, the page layout is a bit different. I always split a paper into two and draw two smaller pages on it. For the final product, I stack the pages on top of each other. I feel that the panels are a bit easier to arrange this way, and I hope it also looks good.
Secondly, this mission is going to have quite a lot of monologue. I hope it isn't going to become too heavy with text, haha. I hope it's clear that it's Opal talking here.
It required some serious ~editing skillz~ to get those white borders around the text, but I managed to pull it off. ^^"Next: [link]

How much time does it take you to complete a full color page like this?

I've been asked that before, but I've never managed to come up with a good estimate because I can never finish a page in one sitting.

Yeah, and it doesn't help that she hasn't been there that long either. I guess she still feels like she is on the outside, looking in eh? Still not too invested in what is going on.
We all know what happens when a person builds up all the feels on the inside and doesn't let it out... ... THEY BREAK DOWN!

It might still take a few weeks, I'm afraid. Right now I'm busy with sketching Myra's side of the mission (which is a collab), so I'll likely post some of those pages in the meantime.

What kind of paper do you use? And you split it in half? Interesting!

Haha, to be honest I usually use just the regular printer paper. It's cheap and works just fine for me.
Yup, I basically just folded it into two and drew a smaller page to both sides. I know I could have the same effect by just using the whole paper for a page but with bigger panels, but this way I have less surface area to color per page. xD
