Th lighting is absolutely perfect. The spaceships look cool and so do the astronauts. The planets closest to the frame are very nicely detailed. Looking at this, I do believe this is space. I would've thought it was an actual picture if NASA posted it. But a few things. For one, there's a bit of steam on the bottom left corner that looks a bit off. Too vibrant for a scene like this I think. Next, up on the top left corner there are blotches of...something. I couldn't tell at first if they were planets in the distance or weird stars. And a couple of them are oddly shaped. Other than that and overall, it's beautiful. Thanks for making me a new wallpaper!

Much as I like this, there are two inconsistencies that stand out:Β first is the steam/smoke's behavior and second is the presence of rays light beneath the lesser planet/moon in the background.
Steam and/or smoke doesn't billow or drift in a vacuum, so that doesn't fit with the context.
Rays of light such as you have depicted are called crepuscular rays, which occur only where there is an atmosphere.Β They could occur near the planet as the light passes through the atmosphere, but would not occur beyond the planet even if the light had just produced one while passing through.Β A comet's tail might be able to produce such rays, but there you at least have gas if not dust that can catch to reflect and/or refract the light.
Both effects make for a more interesting picture, to be sure, but without verisimilitude.
Your shadows aren't hard, a characteristic of orbital photography, but that interceding planet with atmosphere could probably do some tricky things that we wouldn't see in earth orbit.

i love the smoke coming out of the spaceship, and the planet texture, and the red glow, and the lighting, and composition, and depth, and ... hell i think i love everything about it
