Description
       The pushpins in Hanna's box were dwindling away, each one taken from its resting place given the duty to hold up one of his memories.  He fondly remembers the time Toni and Ples formed a nifty duet, Ples on the piano and Toni singing softly behind it. He thinks that she was afraid to let everyone hear her. A tack finds its way into the margin of that photo, and he pulls another from his stack. In this one, he and Veser are trying on their silliest sunglasses. Veser had said that they were "bros for life" right before that picture was taken. The next one to be pinned to the small corkboard was of his good friend Alexander making him breakfast. Those scrambled eggs were delicious.
       The smile plastered on his face is one of cheek-splitting joy, one that he finds himself using more and more often. He finds a way to fit the twenty-some pictures onto his little board and stands back, his eyes bright with happiness.
       Charlemagne has already gone outside, and so Hanna figures he won't keep him waiting too much longer. He grabs his coat, sliding his arms through the sleeves. As he checks his pocket for his keys he snatches his newly-found old self-developing camera, and hangs it around his neck.
       From the day he found it on, he's carried it with him. He snaps pictures whenever he can, of whoever he can, so that when they're all gone and it's just him again, he won't ever have to forget about the time when he wasn't alone.
