OK this is FRICKIN HUGE!!! I tried to resize it but, alas, my computer is demon spawned today and wishes to freeze every five seconds though McAfee sees nothing to worry about.......le sigh......so yeah as soon as I figure out how to resize this I'll repostOK so here’s the final addition of the “Angel series” re-titled “Breathe Again” because it is going to be apart of my “One hundred themes challenge” thing. I dulled out the colors some because I didn’t want any :shhmack look I’m colored:.....plus the grey gives it a more somber tone which is really what I was looking for....I might change the colors again.....making it where it’s not so grey and sad.....

The inking on the wings was done incorrectly and it BOTHERS ME TO NO END!!!!! The purple dress didn't fade the way that I wanted to.....and don't you LOVE my craptastic background?
Symbolism:
Rockstar: my depressed self; that desperately wants to be saved from the immature, stupid, and stressors of the world; that's slowly loosing control and is barely clinging on (wow that's emo)
Angels: the people and things that keep me from being a hermit/misanthrope........the people that keep me from going insane.......
Inspiration:
Stage one: "Sins not tragedies" by Panic! At the Disco; me and a girl named Wendy were sitting in Percussion class (which I originally thought would be entertaining but turned into a living HELL!!!!......anyway.......).........to drown out Dominique's (a
guy) incessant talk of pervy things........*twitch*.....so I was thinking of a hot sexy man-beast singing.......and that was the creation of the dude................Stage two: "Bring me to life" by Evanescence; Pretty song..........rock star wasn't working........feeling really depressed for several reasons.........LET'S THROW IN SOME ANGELS.......

Wow! It looks great here too!!! How do you get all those little detailed lines? different pen sizes? How do you keep the scanner from ruining the colors?

The detail lines are from a trick that I taught myselfwhen I did this....
I guess the type of scanner and the setting I use...I have to bump up the contrast and shadows and lower the brightness....cause when I first did it I was blinded by the green........I might rescan a couple because of the blinding green of doom.....

Yeah, but... Is that on the actual scanner? i always have to end up completely redrawing over my lines to get them the way I want them, and it usually sucks...

yeah, the only thing that I do to the lineart is erase the dust and shadows and thin out some of the lines......mabye you need to up the dpi when you scan it....I set mine to 1200dpi (default is usually 200dpi which is BAD) and then I shrink the image in Corel....
