Hello, everybody and welcome back to... art theory, the most asshole comments in art
What if I told you that this mother was a ghost. That's right. What if this mother suffered a tragic fate, and on Mother's Day, the young foal in this photo is mourning over his mother so badly, that he makes her ghost breakfast, and draws a sketch of a heart. The hear may point to the mother having some sort of heart failure, and in response, the foal does his best to construct her a new one.
And look at those eyes on the mother. She seems almost sad and pitiful, almost mournful. It is as if she wishes her son could handle the heart breaking news. It is as if all she wanted to leave this world behind, if only her son would let her go.
My third and final point of all of this is, that the mother has no shadow. The foal has a very, very, porminant shadow that the mother doesn't share. The dent in the pillow? While that's just the dent left after so many nights. And that curve in the sheets? Look closer. There isn't one. The blanket is too flat to hold a horse.
But remember, thats just a theory, an art theory!
