Absolutely incredible special for Equestria Girls! We wanted it, we got it! There is nothing that I can point out that was wrong in a way.
From Sunset reuniting with Celestia, to the very first beach premiere in this series... everything just fit in PERFECTLY!
There is another one-hour short scheduled for this year, as well as a follow-up to this one! STAY TUNED!

Equestria Girls -- Forgotten Friendship [Review]
This is it! Hopefully we all get what we have been waiting for! Ever since Sunset Shimmer used the portal to transport herself into the human world, she has never came back an confronted Celestia. This was Sunset's past, and surely she has changed for the better, but will Celestia really accept Sunset for what she has done to Twilight? We've been crossing our fingers for far too long, and now should be the time for the reunion of Sunset Shimmer and Celestia. She may have stolen a royal crown and used the power for evil, but Sunset has really proven herself as a better person throughout these years. She has really been shining a lot more lately, and in this one-hour special, she's going to shine even brighter than before!
Now that is what I call a perfectly directed episode for Sunset Shimmer! It is absolutely amazing to see Sunset get so much screen time in a whole hour. I bet all of you Sunset Shimmer fans were very hyped for this episode after seeing all those interesti

What was wrong with "Mirror Magic" might I ask?

atrocious writing that makes Josh Haber look like a genius, rancid and nonexistent "plot", horrible pacing, nothing but wasted potential, worst so-called "villain" in all of MLP (Juniper), forced humor, subplots that go nowhere, magic that makes no sense, Sunset and the Mane 6 being rendered completely useless by the end, awful climax and a redemption that'll make Starlight's redemption in The Cutie Re-Mark look like pure gold! not even human Starlight and her appalling abrupt bond with Sunset could save it!
Forgotten Friendship is everything Mirror Magic should've been, and Nick Confalone did just that

Wow, and all this coming from a fellow Starlight fan! I haven't actually seen Mirror Magic, mind you. I'm not a huge EqG fan. Not that I hate it, it's just the "high school drama" setting doesn't really appeal to me. I prefer the ponies. Starlight and Sunset would absolutely be best buds, though.

i love Starlight, i really do. but man, did they really fuck this one up! they only brought her in that special so that she can turn into a human and be the hero of the day for literally no reason at all! it's like the writers didn't give 2 shits when they were writing that abomination of a script, and it shows!
avoid it like the plague, dude! there's nothing to like about it. you can go ahead and watch Dance Magic and Movie Magic if you want, but Mirror Magic can just eat shit and die!
