Description
The lovebirds get to the restaurant where they discuss things while waiting to order. An off handed comment from the Doctor however opens up a little bit of the mailmare's tragic past. But there isn't anything that can get fixed by some dancing.Remember... she is on this date cause of your votes. So you are the other ponies who care for her. <3
I am very much aware of the fandom belief that Ponet, Pokey is Dinky's father and that the two of them are now divorced or something...
However I fell in love with this fanfic [link] and thought that to be an incredibly suitable back story to our mailmare's early years and Dinky's origins. Enjoy the comic for what it is if you do not agree.

My understanding is that fanon generally presents Amethyst as adopted, explaining the large age gap between her and Dinky and the seemingly smaller one between her and Derpy/Ditzy.

I really love this tragic backstory you've set up for Derpy. I was never really sure how Dinky came about, or what happened to Dinky's father. What you've laid out here is certainly quite plausible.

One thing I'm confused about: in Derpy's story she never explained Sparkler, and I don't even see how Sparkler can fit into the equation with the explanation you gave.

Eeeyup. When Sparkler is brought up during her origins, Ill give credit where due. But I just like the simplicity of this one. Sparkler is essentially a teenage baby sitter in my fanon who got by by sharing meals and rooms with those who hired her, until Derpy offered to adopt her.
A strange delightful simplicity in contrast to the tragedy Dinky Suffered as a newborn.
