I actually saw a video of Maria in this YouTube Sonic plush adventure series with Maria as a hedgehog, and I thought Hedgehog Maria would be the perfect girlfriend for Shadow when I saw her. She's so adorable!

I wouldn't have Maria and Shadow as a couple, but this is simply adorable. <3
Why wouldn't I have them as a couple ? Well, they grew up on the "Space Colony Ark" together and Shadow, in the games, has always remembered a certain voice in his head, Maria's voice. (I know this is obvious but whatever) So, I think they considered each other as like, un-biological siblings, or real siblings.
I'm not disliking on this picture, I just don't support the couple. ^^

thanks so much for your comment. i understand how you feel, i feel the same in the respect that they are more like brother and sister than a couple.
but when maria is changed into a hedgehog or shadow into a human in whatever picture,
i cant help but want them to be all couple cuddly.

I feel the same way, I love shipping them together but
not when Maria is human, yuck! Change her to a mobian though
