In honor of the release of The Old Republic, and because this is likely my last submission of the year, I decided it was time to paint a random sith. How festive of me!The pose was pretty challenging, but I actually ended up having more fun with it than I anticipated. I think I've learned a lot since I last tried this.
Sith, Star Wars, The Old Republic, (and the millions of nerdy minds, souls and cashmonies) belong to George Lucas and Bioware, etc., etc., etc.
Right. Back to playing the game!
Seriously, this game is awesome and if you haven't played an Imperial Agent, you have not lived!!

Wow... that pose is just wicked cool. 
The best part of this pic are his super arrogant face and, of course, the lightsaber. 
The only thing not so well is his right hand. It looks too... curved. Perhaps it would've helped to make the thumb more visible. Dunno!

I see what you mean about the hand, it ended up really just being in the interest of saving time. I tend to obsess way too much over details in pictures like these and after I decided not to spend weeks to put in a background with a secondary light source I couldn't get the red light from the lightsaber to hit that part of his hand in a way that looked right. Maybe I'll revisit it someday and add a real background.

I started playing The Old Republic using my brother's account. It's nice to have a brother willing to do something like that
It's not a game I find myself getting into but it is one that'll keep my occupied in finishing the story until I get accustomed to my new Xbox lol
And I wanted to play as an Imperial Agent but wanted to explore more with other classes.

Nice brothers are the best! And I know what you mean, most of my games are on Xbox360, so adjusting to PC was weird, but I got used to it after a while. I was huge into KotOR, so I was super excited for this. I'm really loving all the classes but Sith Warrior, Bounty Hunter and Imperial Agent are tied at the top for me so far. I agree, I reeeeeally hope they don't mess this up! I'm still upset over ME3.
I think a lot of people who haven't gotten into the Agent don't really expect how different it is from the other classes, story-wise... it's very dark and disturbing at times, but you really feel like a badass spy!

I'm disappointed still and hate how fans talk about the Indoctrination Theory because it's something a fan made up and posted online and got everyone else to agree with him but it still leaves a lot more questions and makes the ending even more upsetting. And the DLC BioWare's releasing only extends the ending so really nothing's gonna change except a better understanding of how they wanted those endings to end. *sigh Sad no matter what.
I'll probably try the Agent at some point. It was a class I wanted to try before switching to Sith Warrior.

YAY! My husband is currently putting together a gaming computer for me, specifically because I'm totally addicted to ToR now... It's gonna take a few more months before we can afford all the extra bells and whistles, but I'm pretty psyched!
I personally don't agree with the Indoctrination Theory, but I will say it is much more well thought-out than the wacky crap shoved at us in the ending of the real game. I've read a lot of fan ideas that are actually much better. I don't have my hopes up for the ending DLC... That game was hugely disappointing and I doubt tacking on a few extra details is going to help much.
And you won't be disappointed with Sith Warrior, it's got to be one of the best written classes in the entire game. Plus you get Quinn

I don't disagree with the Theory because if that was one of the endings then it'd be okay but the fact that all the endings are the same and the fact that they're extending it puts the theory just as a theory; something that can be put in the fanfic. And I don't mind having a better understanding of the ending we got but it still takes away Mass Effect's true concept of choice. And I hate how fans say that Control and Synth are wrong choices because in truth there is no wrong decision because it's all based on the player's opinion which makes each story unique.
Oh but enough about Mass Effect
I do like ToR but I usually play it when I got no other game to play. I have been playing Dragon Age again

If it were one of several different outcomes, I could see it. But apparently Bioware prefers space magic and pretty colors. I don't think it's just the fans who say Control and Synth are wrong choices, I think the game steers you into thinking that since Destruction is the only ending where you potentially get that half-second clip of Shep breathing... But the whole game made me feel like I just made all the wrong choices, anyway because there were no options. I could rant about this all day, so sorry!!!
It's worth seeing the Sith Warrior story through, especially if you liked Knights of the Old Republic. I think with this game Bioware did do a good job in keeping with the spirit of its predecessor (except for making certain things canon that I don't agree with, but that's more Lucas' fault, and another can of worms entirely) I didn't think I was going to really like playing a Sith, but the story really draws you in!!

When my apprentices and I practice, this is exactly what the camera catches...translate that sentence to out of character: when we are playing with our Hasbro lightsabers...seriously...great job.

Thank you!! I currently have a Smuggler and an Imperial Agent (I like the suck and cover system) but I'm really looking forward to starting a Jedi Guardian and Sith Warrior. I liked the gameplay of the Consular and Inquisitor, but I think the stories fell short, so I'll probably start those later on
